This happy little boy is Sven. He was quite small when we brought him home and extremely busy. Never a sit still kind of a guy. Always trying to escape out of sight to explore the wide world of our home. And he was quick! In the blink of an eye he would be ten feet away from us and running eighty miles an hour toward a chair or sofa to hide under. Then he would tease us by coming toward us when we called him, only to stop just out of our reach.
As he’s gotten older he has slowed down a bit and will sit still at random times and in some strange places. Here is one. The brick over our fireplace. Of course, he prefers this spot when a fire has been lit and warmed the area for an hour or two first.
We have no idea, other than the warmth, why our Sven enjoys sitting here so much. You would think that the rough brick and narrow ledge would be uncomfortable for him. But as you can see by his wide eyed gaze he is quite content. After posing for this picture he likely took a long bath because that what he does besides eat and explore of course.
