Ratty Tales

How can this possibly be comfortable? I mean Sven here is folded in half. Have no idea why he decided that this was the best position to take a bath, but here he is. To be fair to him most of our rats have sat like this at one time or another. At least the boys have. The girls have all been a bit daintier than this.

This guy is a clean freak. If something touches him and he feels it, that spot must be licked immediately. Of course once you have begun cleaning one patch you are obligated to wash the entire body; twice. Well, maybe a third time just for good measure. Sven has a lot of fur so this is not a short endeavor.

When he is interrupted as he was with the taking of this photo, it will often throw him off causing him to start all over at the beginning of the bathing process. I admit to bugging him on purpose just to see if I can distract him. It doesn’t take much honestly. Touch the ear, light tug on the tail, little tickle on the side or even a pat on the back. And we’re right back at the beginning of bath time…

Welcome

People often ask me, “How did you do it?”, when learning that I self published my novels. It is surprisingly easy to do with a wonderful husband like mine and a company like Lulu.com. With them I ‘self’ published the following books:

The Power of the Truth

It came as no surprise to Caroline that her estranged husband was angry. In her mind he had every right to be. But when everything she believed about the past is suddenly challenged, can she learn to accept his forgiveness?

When Johnathan is forced to face his wife he takes a leap of faith never dreaming where it could lead. In the midst of the journey he cannot help but wonder if they can ever really be free from the painful past.

As they unravel the web of assumptions and lies, Johnathan and Caroline discover they have the chance for a future. But the mystery of the past threatens to steal, kill and destroy. Can they withstand the present dangers long enough to see…The Power of the Truth?

Under the Mountain

Maureen is not too concerned when she arrives home from work and her sons are not there. But as the hours pass and there is no word from Charlie, Drew or Ryan panic begins to settle over her heart. The only clue the police are able to find is just as confusing as the boys’ disappearance. After the police leave her home she questions everything she saw and did that day; until her husband makes a confession that rocks her to the very core of her being.

Has Sauntage lost his mind? Or is he trying to make her think she is crazy so that he can steal their sons? Can Maureen sort through the web of lies in time to save her sons? Will she survive the journey Under the Mountain?
